Megan Carden is full time homemaker who manages a family of four. She is a senior at PNW pursuing her undergraduate in Computer Information Technology and minoring in Organizational Leadership & Supervision. Additionally, Megan is the Student Government Senator of the College of Technology (COT) in Westville. She strives to promote student life and involvement with continuous communication. Examples of her efforts are seen through various tabling events, multiple social media platforms and mass emails being sent to the COT students. Megan has served as an ambassador for COT on the “Stem on the Road” outreach, is an active chair member for COT TIP committee, and PNW’s ISSA committee. She is also collaborating her time with various community partners. She volunteers leadership skills for the Dunes National Park, website designing for the Child Care Consortium – Head Start of LaPorte and knowledge by becoming the lead instructor for a youth Coding/Technology Club hosted by Porter County 4-H – Purdue Extension. Upon graduation, Megan will continue her efforts with Porter County 4-H by speaking to larger audiences regarding STEM related subjects and hopes to pursue a master’s degree in data analytics.
